Shrimp tubes are an excellent choice for a variety of fly designs.  Tungsten  Shrimp Tubes have a bit of extra weight to them, to get them down quick in pocket water or fast flows. Another way to fish the Tungsten  Shrimp Tubes is in slow flows in combination with a floating line and a long leader. This is a good method for slow winter water that is deep. The floating line setup will create the needed swing speed, while the brass shrimp tube keeps the fly down where you want it. The nice thing about Tungsten is that you can create a heavy, fast sinking fly with a small sized tube.

Tungsten Shrimp Tubes are available in two sizes: 10mm and 14mm We produce them in two variations; one with a flange and one without a flange. For fly designs without a cone head the flanged variation is the obvious choice. For designs with a cone both the flanged and the no flange variations will work and the choice depends on preference.

Common flies that are great to tie with Shrimp Tubes include the Frances, Tippet Shrimp, Ally's Shrimp, Snaeldas, Franc 'n Snaeldas, etc. Another good use of the Shrimp Tube is for small saltwater crustacean designs. The 25mm tubes are great for Chinook (King) Salmon flies that need a bit of weight to get down.

The inside hole diameter is 1.85mm to allow for 1.8mm tubes.  The 1.8mm liner tube will allow the use of our cones with 2mm hole.  The tubes are ribbed to prevent sliding of the materials.  10 per pack.

We have a video on how to tie our Franc 'n Snaelda variations. The video shows how the Shrimp Tubes is used and you can view it here (link to youtube vid). You can also read a step-by-step instruction on how to tie the Franc 'n Snaelda “Bulkley” here (link to Skeena Fly Zone blog article)
