Our Guinea Fowl XL packs contain 25 large feathers. These feathers are larger that even the bigger ones in most mixed packs, so that every feather is great to work with for steelhead and salmon flies.

Large Guinea Fowl Feathers; Guinea Fowl often arrives in a wide range of feather sizes. For steelhead and salmon flies most of those feathers are too small and you end up sorting through the pack for the large feathers and discarding most of the feathers.
Our Guinea Fowl XL packs contain 25 large feathers. These feathers are larger that even the bigger ones in most mixed packs, so that every feather is great to work with for steelhead and salmon flies. A good example of the benefit of our large feathers is our Hobo Spey variation. Tied on tubes they require a good sized Guinea Fowl feather in order to cover the full body length. With our large size feathers this is not a problem and results in a nice tie that has plenty of wing support.
