This is the best all-round thread that we know of. It is strong (http://veevus.com/content/6-breaking-strength), has a small amount of stretch so that it binds the materials securely, round, multi-strand, does not fray and is relatively economical. We carry it in 10/0, which is a nice all-round thread thickness for steelhead/salmon fly tying, 14/0 and 16/0 for applications where very little build up is required or for trout flies.
